The Plan The Play By Play The Postmortem The Pictures

The question: What happens if our commitment is to storytelling instead of memorizing lines? Can we learn and utilize storytelling techniques to tell both a personal story, and a story based on Colorado lore?

For this project, we wanted to take our core value of nourishment out to to the community supporting our work. In addition to creating and rehearsing a new show that was performed at the end of the weekend, the participants cooked a family-style meal for the audience.

Instead of the tired term "dinner theatre", we wanted a new take on sharing a meal and a new piece of work with our audience — and so PieceMeal was born.

All participants stayed at the lovely new home of Andrea Moore, where we continued our storytelling over the fire pit, and laughed into the wee hours of the morning.
