Daily Bread surveys our personal food landscapes in order to look more deeply into our daily lives, both individually and communally. We asked participants to peek back into their parents' ovens of the past and into the astronaut ice cream of the future, to mix gummi bears into their popcorn at the movies and gently pull carrots out of the garden. In short, we asked them to answer a question we'd been chewing on — is food simply fuel, or is it something more?
