About Us Our Values Our Values

Who we are: The five founders of No One Way live in five different cities spanning four time zones. We are fascinated by the potential of collaborating across distance, and we're equally inspired by the clash of creative energy that takes place when a mixed group of artists convenes to make something together. Our mission is to create projects that provide artists opportunities to develop innovative, relevant art in conversation with communities across America, guided by our core values of Nourishment, Community, Learning, Empowerment, and Play.

What we do: No One Way is a mobile arts collaborative that gathers artists of various disciplines for retreats that creatively address a proposed question. By framing our work around the needs or ideas of different artists, our projects bring us to diverse communities across the country. Our process-based approach allows an opportunity for unfettered artistic growth and exploration instead of a focus on a performance or end result. With an ever-renewing cast of participants, each project includes some element of chance, and participants shape their creative process around a particular (and dare we say fascinating) constraint. By tailoring each project around a common goal and framing them in dialogue with the community, N.O.W. is able to create fresh, meaningful material that nourishes and inspires both audiences and participants.
